Report: Pres aide says ruble likely to strengthen soon

ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 16 (PRIME) – The oil prices will increase, which will lead to an inflow of foreign currency to Russia and strengthening of the ruble, presidential aide Maxim Oreshkin told channel RBC on Friday.

"The factors of oil prices will likely have a positive effect, this will mean a higher inflow of foreign currency to our market and, obviously, strengthening of the ruble may be a result of this," the official said.

He added that expansion of the Chinese economy and cessation of sales of oil from the U.S. strategic reserves will favor the trend.
